Assistant Principal Killed, 2 Adults Hurt In Tenn. School Shooting

A school official has died as a result of a shooting in Tennessee. A state education official said an assistant high school principal is dead. A student is in custody. Two other school officials were wounded. The conditions of the other two victims were not immediately released. Parents rushed to Campbell County High School to take their children home after the shooting about 30 miles northwest of Knoxville. Gail Parks of the county school system said three administrators were shot. A student at the school was taken into custody, Board of Education co-chairman Homer Rutherford said. Two of the victims were taken by helicopter to a hospital in Knoxville. The whereabouts of the third person was not immediately disclosed. No students were reportedly injured.
