Germany Will Have First Female Chancellor

After three weeks of negotiations, Germany's political parties have come to a comprimise that will allow Conservative leader Angela Merkel, who received a slim majority of the popular vote, to serve as Chancellor while the Social Democrats will control a majority of the Cabinet. Surely Merkel's election will be often be discussed on this side of the Atlantic with all of the talk of Hillary Clinton's presidential candidacy.
